About Bruce N. Shepas

I am a lifelong resident of Austintown, a 1991 Fitch High School graduate, co-owner of Austintown Bounce (a local business established in 2007) and most importantly, a husband and a father. I have been married to my wife Lisa, for 10 years, and have two daughters, Talia and Alexandria. I am proud to have been appointed to the Austintown Zoning Commission (alternate), and as Chairman of the Austintown 4th of July Parade, by the Austintown Township Trustees . Additionally, I serve as an Executive Board Member of the Austintown 4th of July Celebration/Fireworks Committee, Member of the Austintown Night Out Celebration Committee, and was elected to Treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #193.

My lengthy law enforcement background includes; Reserve Deputy Sheriff from 1995-2000; a Lieutenant at Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) from 1997-2000; and have been employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons since 2000.

As a law enforcement officer I have an understanding of what it is like to serve the public, and have done so for almost 30 years. Additionally, I have the management skills which have enabled me to run a successful business for the last 11 years. These experiences have given me the integrity, character, leadership and values of which I believe are integral for a Trustee position in Austintown Township.
